Are You Voting by Mail? Make sure your mail-in ballot doesn’t get thrown out!

  1. Watch the League of Women Voters’ video on completing your mail in ballot.

  2. Don’t get flapped — click for step-by-step instructions

  3. FILL OUT YOUR BALLOT AND RETURN IT BEFORE NOV. 8 AT 7PM You must submit your mail ballot in the Official Carrier Envelope.

If you return your ballot by mail or via FedEx/UPS, make sure it’s postmarked before 7pm on November 8. For USPS, you will need two standard stamps ($1.10 total postage). To be counted, your ballot must be received by the election administrator by close of business on November 9, so it’s best to mail your ballot well before the deadline to make sure it arrives on time.

If you’re worried about whether your ballot will make it in time, consider switching to in-person voting (see below). Contact Bexar elections at 210 335-VOTE if you have questions about switching.

You can drop off your voted ballot in person to the Bexar County Elections office at: 1103 S. Frio Street, Ste 100, , San Antonio Texas 78207 , with a photo ID, on November 8 from 7am to 7pm. Only the voter can deliver their own ballot in person.

Visit the Secretary of State’s mail ballot tracker at https://teamrv-mvp.sos.texas.gov/BallotTrackerApp/#/login to check the status of your mail ballot.

CAN I SWITCH TO IN-PERSON VOTING?

Yes! You may vote in person even if you applied for a mail ballot. But remember, you can only vote once! To vote in person, take your mail ballot to a polling place to surrender it and receive a regular ballot. If you do not have the mballot with you or if you never received your mail ballot, you may still vote in person. If the voting clerk says otherwise, ask the clerk to call the Elections Department. If you decide to vote in person, bring your mail ballot with you if you can!
