Don't Get Flapped! How to complete your mail-in ballot
Don't let your mail-in ballot get rejected! Follow these easy steps for smooth voting!
Before you get started, there are 2 envelopes:
A secrecy envelope
A mailing envelope (Exhibit A)
STEP 1
Complete your ballot and put it in the secrecy envelope. Put your secrecy envelope into the mailing envelope – but do not seal yet!
STEP 2
Look at the unsealed back of the mailing envelope (Exhibit B). Fill in:
a. TX Drivers’ License number (don’t worry if your license is expired)
b. The last 4 digits of your social security number
c. Phone number
d. Email address
There is a place to sign, but don’t sign until after you seal the envelope!
STEP 3
Seal the flap of the mailing envelope (it should look like the image below). Once the flap is sealed, it is OK to sign by the X.
