We are pleased to announce that this year’s speaker is Dr. Kari White, Executive and Scientific Director at Resound, a policy and research center located on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.  Click to learn more about Resound. 

Dr. White will discuss two recent studies that Resound has completed about pregnancy crisis centers (or, “false clinics”).  These facilities are located throughout the state of Texas (and elsewhere in the US ) that encourage women to come in for a consultation, but have a specific agenda about  reproductive choice.  In Texas, pregnancy crisis centers receive state funding, do not provide healthcare, or offer options for pregnant women to consider.
