Diaper Drive-by/Drop-off a Big Success!
On Sunday morning, August 28, Congregation Agudas Achim's Social Action Committee, {and Temple Beth-El’s SAC} and our San Antonio chapter of NCJW (National Council of Jewish Women) held a diaper drive for the Center for Refugee Services.
Since last fall, the Center has processed more than 3100 Afghan refugees. Two thirds of these refugees are part of large families, many with 7-8 children.
Five carloads of diapers were delivered to the Center on Monday morning. There were already individuals lined up waiting for the diapers.
